CHARMING TO MEET YOU
Goodbye Posh, hello Siiri
My blogging journey began in 2016, on one ordinary September, in a delicate age of sixteen. At the time I had just started high school and despertely wanted to do my own thing. So that was when, sitting in my pale blue room, I finally made my dream a reality by publishing my blog, which I (very) humbly called Posh.
For the first nine years of blogging, Posh served as my online identity which allowed me to grow into the woman I am today. Through articles from beauty to personal style and design studies, Posh developed as I was exposed to new adventures and life’s struggless. In short, Posh was a safe haven for me throughout my teenage years, global pandemic and University studies. It was something aspirational, often times ridiculous but not exactly pretentious. Just a story of a girl and her granmom’s vintage shoes.
Then, I turned 25 and I was back where it all began: my pale blue room. But I wasn’t 16 anymore. I was a young adult with her early twenties behind her, unempleyed and broke living in my parents’ house with nothing but a Bachelor of Art to my name. Needless to say, I had out grown Posh, trementulosly, and I didn’t want to be an adjective anymore. It was time to become my own name.
And so began a new chapter of my blog as Siiri, as I am. And you, my dearest reader, are welcome to join this ridicilous journey of a woman writing her story whether it’s from the pale blue bedroom or a different bedroom elsewhere. For one thing is sure: style and life continue to colide and I will continue to write about it.
Yours Truly,
Siiri

It's Siiri with three i's,
a Finnish version of an ancient Scandinavian name, Sigrid, that is a combination of two words: victory and beauty, a victorious beauty.

What do I like most about life?
I am a classy girl who loves a good tweed blazer with pearl earrings and a nude lip. My outfits are often a mix of vintage and modern and sits somewhere between minimalist and maximalist, however, the aim is always elegant and romantic. The core items in my wardrobe are Brittish style influenced pieces like tartan suits and a kilt skirt. In fact, anything remotely tailored is likely to appeal to me. Moreover, a lot of my style inspiration comes from my favourite brands like Chanel, Vivienne Westwood and Ralp Lauren or from historical sources such as old portraits. Movies and books I read are also a big part of my imagination when dressing myself. Most of all, I think it’s important to have fun and feel wonderful in your clothing, which is why, a fabulous (provocating) hat is occassionally needed.
As a dancer I have learned to love moving because being able to do, learn and express things with your body is fascinating to me, and I love that I get to have a mobile life, feel my muscles working and take me to places. I see that movement is life and its ever changing, and that’s why you never know what’s coming next. Honestly, I know it sounds strange, but everyday I am amazed at the joy moving gives me.
